Please note this is a self-guided activity. There is no Team Leader. You choose your activity: 1) Repair and assemble furniture, both gently used and new. Some experience repairing, woodworking or reupholstering is strongly advised, though there’s no need to be an expert! 2) Grab your paintbrush! Paint furniture that’s surface needs a refresh to give to clients. Some experience painting furniture is recommended.
Why do we need painters and repairers?
Most furniture and household goods we provide to clients are gently used. We turn away damaged furniture, but inevitably some minor repairs or paint are needed before we offer items to clients. This can include tightening hardware, gluing broken pieces, and more. We also receive disassembled furniture, both brand new from large donations and gently used from the community, that needs to be assembled prior to offering it to clients.
